China Southern Airlines, Air France-KLM Ink Cargo Deal

Cargo joint venture cooperation by airlines from different contients are crucial to the growth of international air cargo businessChina Southern Airlines has signed a framework agreement with Air France-KLM Group to set up a cargo joint venture peration.
The agreement  between both airlines, which operate flights to destinations in Africa, is expected to boost the network transport capacities for international cargo, offering practical benefits to the consignors and customers and driving the further development of aviation logistics between China, Europe and the United States.

The mechanical equipment and hi-tech components manufactured in Europe and the United States are also likely to enjoy more channels into the Chinese marketplace, providing more choices to both the customers and those of China, Europe and America.

Vice-Chairman of Air France-KLM, Leo Van Wijk expresses confidence that the project will enhance the parties’ strength in cargo market, bringing about long-term benefits not only to the cargo business but also to customers.
Chairman of China Southern Airlines, Liu Shaoyong, is optimistic that the agreement will enhance the strength and competitiveness of the airline.
