…Cameroon, Ethiopia Sign MoU To Review BASA

Following discussions held by heads of delegations from both countries, the Governments of Cameroon and Ethiopia have initialed the review of the BASA (Bilateral Air Services Agreement) between them. The Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) notes that this move was symbolised by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) permitting the application of the provisions, pending the signature of the BASA.Cameroon CAA

According to the CCAA, Mrs. Assoumou Koki Paule, Director General of the Cameroon CAA hosted the meeting on aeronautical consultations between experts of the Republic of Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Ethiopia led by Col. Wesenyeleh Hunegnaw late August, 2017 in Yaoundé. The purpose of the meeting was the revision of the Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) that was initialed on October 28, 2003 in Yaounde.

During this session, the delegations agreed to improve on the document initialed in 2003 by including new provisions on the Multi-designation of airlines, Aviation Safety, Aircraft leasing and code-sharing.
