… Air Namibia To Launch Flights to Accra, Lagos

As part of its strategic plan to expand its business and routes on the African continent, Air Namibia reveals that effective March 25, 2018, it will connect Namibia to West Africa by operating four times weekly flight services to Lagos and Accra using the Airbus A319-100.

According to the airline, flights operations to the new destinations which will be routed Windhoek-Lagos-Accra and Accra-Lagos-Windhoek, will further allow Air Namibia transport passengers and cargo on the Lagos-Accra-Lagos route, using the fifth freedom traffic rights granted to it by the Ghanaian and Nigerian Governments.

The Acting Managing Director of Air Namibia, Advocate Mandi Samson, declares: "This much needed service will give our passengers a better alternative travel option, and will reduce travel times between Namibia and West Africa by more than 60%. We are happy to introduce our Award Winning Service in this market and we are already receiving positive feedback on the launch of this new route. The operation fits within our existing capacity in terms of aircraft and crew, thereby improving the utilization rates of these resources while increasing revenue catchment opportunities."
