Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer
Support (GCS) says it has developed an aftermarket retrofit kit for
the installation of genuine Hawker winglets on the Hawker 750, a
modification that will provide an incremental performance
improvement in time to climb, range and fuel consumption. The
company explains that by effectively increasing the wing aspect
ratio, it will also enhance stability at altitude, reduce
lift-induced drag and generate more responsive handling in slow
flight. It adds that the enhancement offers Hawker 750 operators a
five percent improvement in time to climb and a four percent range
increase at long-range cruise settings.
"This product improvement is an
obvious and logical offering for us to make available as it fits
directly in line with our goals of providing products that reduce
operating costs for our customers," remarks Christi Tannahill,
Hawker Beechcraft Vice President, GCS. "Further, virtually all of
the necessary hardware and procedures have been previously
developed, documented and approved in the 800/900 series aircraft
so integration will be fairly seamless."
