Ethiopian says it has entered into
a code-share agreement with Mozambique Airlines providing customers
of both carriers more flexible and convenient flight services
between Addis Ababa and Maputo. According to Ethiopian, the
agreement will bring ample choices of flights for passengers from
Mozambique to the vast Ethiopian global network and vice versa.
This will moreover strengthen the two countries relations in air
transport. Ethiopian commenced direct flights from Addis Ababa to
Maputo December 2010. Since then, it operates three weekly non-stop
flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. With the operation of
the code-share flights, Ethiopian discloses that it will increase
the number of flights to daily. With the recent addition of new
flight services to Hangzhou, and Milan, Ethiopian is poised to
provide "dependable" services to 62 international destinations
spanning four continents.
